CHE BELLO!

UPDATE: I'm moving to the Amalfi Coast...

Views of Positano and a natural rock formation that looks like 2 elephants kissing (view from a boat). Field trip through IES to Sorrento, Naples, Pompei, Amalfi Coast :) The most beautiful coast in the world? I agree.

Pompei was fascinating.. it is actually a huge city (about 126 acres if I remember correctly) and a portion has yet to be excavated. My tour group spent about 4 hours wandering around this ancient town and still only saw a very small portion of it!! We didn't get to see a lot of Naples, but it seemed decent.. higher crime rate makes it more dangerous, but it is home to PIZZA and some awesome sights (Mt. Vesuvius in the background, Bay of Naples, Cathedral di Santa Chiara aka 'the pantheon of Naples'). Sorrento was a small, quiet town to stay in- ate dinner and slept at the Hotel Michelangelo. Our awesome tour guide for the entire trip, Francesco, is a native to the area and made everything extremely hilarious with his thick Itailan accent explaining sculptures of a penis Pompei, or simply hollering out to us in his usual way: "Huuuuullo? Yoooou Whhoooooo!". Positano and Amalfi were absolutely picturesque towns.. fantastic views everywhere you turn.
