frustrations..

My computer's speakers stopped working today.. What to do??? No clue. Makes me miss how easy everything is in the states. Its so much easier to buy whatever you may need, seek repairs, and find stores. Ugh. Example: Where can I go to buy a blanket? Who knows?! No one has any.. and the one place that I found that does sold them for like 70 Euro (ridiculousness). But anyways, my speakers will work if I press down on them, which I dont understand. What the hell? Any ideas?? Please send them my way. This really put a damper on my great day.

Day trip this morning/afternoon to Etruscan cemeteries/necropoli, it was very cool. Everything was so well preserved- some of the areas were only discovered as recently as the 1960s. The trip was through my History of Ancient Rome course and we first visited Tarquinia which had underground burial tombs.. had lunch at a snack bar there and continued on to Cerveteri. Cerveteri is for real a city of the dead.. it was much more interesting than the first city. All of the burial chambers were above ground in these huge cylinder-shaped tofa 'mounds'. Kinda creepy yet awesome because we could actually go INTO the chambers (in Tarquinia we couldnt because they had to preserve the frescoes). Pictures coming soon..
